Before the job is closed
Extraction ends when accessible liquid water has been removed and remaining moisture has been assessed. It does not by itself establish a dry structure.

If safe, shut off the source. Avoid water near outlets and appliances. Never use a household vacuum for water, and keep people away from water of unknown origin.
